Ultimate Souvenir Shopping Istanbul (Grand Bazaar, Egyptian / Spice Bazaar, + Secret Local Bazaar)

Explore the historic bazaars of Istanbul, Turkiye as we shop for Turkey's famous soaps, replicas, foods, scarves and more! Enjoy the sensory overload of the lights of the Turkish lanterns, the soft Turkish rugs, the taste of baklava, the smells of Turkish coffee, and the sounds of shop owners luring you into their store. This shopping adventure is not to be missed!

We start at the Grand Bazaar, where we explore the antique market, rugs at (N)izam Rugs, and find a head scarf (and cheaper prices) just outside!

Next we head to Mahmut Pasa Carsisi. Our tour guide on the free walking tour (in the last video) recommended this market as where the locals shop for replica goods. The prices here are much better than the prices in the Grand Bazaar, and we enjoy looking at all the knockoff offerings.

We saved the best for last, and head to the Spice Bazaar aka Egyptian Bazaar. Here we find organic Turkish Soap, a delicious restaurant Pandeli, and best of all SAMPLES! This place is better than Costco, and after sampling it we couldn't resist buying the greatest baklava we've ever had (Gulluoglu), beef pastrami, sheep milk cheese aged in goat skin, kaymak (Cankurtaran), AND coffee (Kurukahveci Mehmet Efendi Mahdumlari)!!!
