This is the first part of a rather very bus-y intersection near the city center of Ljubljana, the Capital City of Slovenia!

About the buses in the Capital:
The main operator is Ljubljanski potniški promet (LPP). As you can see they operate a diverse fleet from miniature electric taxis over the pavements of the old city to articulated 25-year-old MAN A11s.
A frequent models to be spotted are namely the older MAN NG312 (A11) bodied by Avtomontaža. They were produced in the late 1990s and entered LPP service in that era. These are high‑floor articulated vehicles from the 1996–2000 production run, notable for their three‑axle layout and Voith/MAN drivetrains; a small number remain in service as heritage/backup units, while most are being retired due to age and maintenance costs. The NG312s are visually distinct and popular with spotters, but they are less fuel‑efficient and more maintenance‑intensive than modern low‑floor CNG or hybrid buses. LPP received a substantial batch of Mercedes‑Benz Conecto buses around 2009–2010, including ~29 articulated Conectos plus a few solo units; these vehicles brought low‑floor access, higher capacity and improved driveline smoothness compared with older types. The Conecto articulateds (O628G) are Euro V/EEV spec, comfortable for dense urban corridors and still widely used on trunk routes because they balance capacity and operating economy.
The fleet is complemented by Citelis CNG, some older Citaro C1s, a few Citaro LÜs and newer Lion's City, also hybrid-CNG versions.

Since 2006 LPP has modernised its fleet, procuring dozens of low‑emission buses and installing a CNG refuelling station to support methane buses; official figures note many new buses (over 100 by 2016) and a significant CNG share as part of the environmental push. LPP has also tested and trialled hybrid and fully electric models (e.g., Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro) and is moving toward next‑generation solutions: recent tests and orders include eCitaro trials and planned fuel‑cell/hydrogen articulated deliveries as part of a staged electrification and decarbonisation plan.
