Siberia is a region of Russia that lies east of the Ural Mountains and is infamous for its severe winters and enormous size. In fact, Siberia would be the largest country in the world if it were a separate nation.
Siberia covers over 5.1 million square miles, accounting for roughly three-quarters of all Russian territory and nearly ten percent of the Earth's land surface. Siberia, on the other hand, has one of the lowest population densities on the planet, with between 7 and 8 individuals per square mile.
