In July, my friends and I had a great trip bikepacking the King Alfred Way. The King Alfred Way is a 220 mile Cycling UK trail starting and ending in Winchester which just oozes history. We decided to start at the most northerly point of the trail near Wantage so we had a shorter drive and decided to complete the trail over 4 days with an average daily mileage of 55. It wasn't long before we realised we had dramatically underestimated how many hours of riding there would be each day!!
