Pahang assault: No one above the law, says crown prince

Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, has made it clear that "no one is above the law, not even royalty."

His statement follows reports of a construction worker being assaulted by a group of men, allegedly including a member of the royalty.

Tengku Hassanal called for a transparent and fair investigation, urging the police to take immediate action, stating that he would not protect anyone involved in unlawful actions.

Pahang police chief Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman confirmed that the investigation papers are being reviewed.

Kuantan police chief Assistant Commissioner Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the case is being investigated under sections 324 and 148 of the Penal Code, for assault and rioting with a weapon.
