This is the last vlog of our Goa cousins trip 💙
We started our day by heading to the Basilica of Bom Jesus, one of Goa’s most famous churches and a UNESCO heritage site.
This historic church in Old Goa is known for housing the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier and is a major pilgrimage and tourist destination.
After reaching there, we had coffee and juices nearby. I was especially searching for kokum soda, because during my previous summer visit with Manju chechi, we used to drink it at least twice a day. I couldn’t find it anywhere in winter — but finally here I saw it, and it instantly took me back to those memories 💭
We bought a few things from the shops and entered the church premises.
The queue to enter inside the church was very long, and since we didn’t have much time, we walked around the church complex instead and admired the beautiful architecture from outside.
🌊 Sunset at Benaulim Beach
After that, we started our journey towards Benaulim Beach.
We reached around 5:30 PM.
Benaulim is a calm and clean South Goa beach known for its peaceful vibe, soft sand, and beautiful sunsets. Compared to crowded beaches, it feels more relaxed and scenic.
We clicked photos and enjoyed something special —
On the first day in Goa we saw the sunrise, and on the last day we saw the sunset.
It felt like the trip completed a full circle 🌅💙
🚉 Journey Back Home
From the beach, we drove to Madgaon Railway Station, handed over the rental car, and said goodbye to Anagha and Jithu.
Their train had already arrived, and they later reached Mumbai safely by 9 AM.
After that, we waited at the station:
Sat in the lounge for 2 hours (₹100, with washroom access)
Then stored our luggage in the cloak room for 3 hours
Had dinner and waited on the platform
We again used the lounge for another 2 hours before our train.
Our train was supposed to arrive at 12:30 AM on 26th, but it was delayed and came at 2:30 AM.
When we boarded, the bedsheets were already used, and I felt upset. Achu called the staff and requested new sheets, and thankfully we got them. After arranging everything, we finally slept.
☕ Next Morning Journey
At 8 AM, I woke up, brushed, and bought coffee and uzhunnu vada.
We ate together and relaxed during the journey.
By 1 PM, we reached Palakkad, and by 2 PM, we reached home.
💙 Ending Our Cousins Trip
This trip was very special for us:
Our first cousins trip without parents
We travelled like adults, planned everything ourselves
Enjoyed, laughed, teased, and created lifelong memories
And most importantly… we already decided our next vacation together ✨
Goa gave us beaches, forests, chaos, calmness, and unforgettable moments.
This trip will always stay in our hearts 💙
