While Fred (Redd Foxx) is sleeping, a burglar invades the Sanford residence, but Lamont (Demond Wilson) and Rollo (Nathaniel Taylor) get home in time and the burglar runs forgetting his gun.

From Season 2, Episode 7 'Have Gun, Will Sell' - After Fred and Lamont scare away a burglar, they realize that he left his gun at their house. Lamont and Rollo then pressure Fred into going to a pawn shop to try and sell the gun.
