Switching your audio output from your TV to your headset on the PS5 is a common task, and thankfully, it's very easy to do. The best and most efficient method is to use the PS5's Control Center.

The Best Method: Using the Control Center
This method is the fastest because it can be done at any time, even when you're in the middle of a game, without having to go back to the main settings menu.

Plug in or connect your headset to the PS5.

Wired headsets: Connect the 3.5mm jack into the bottom of your DualSense controller.

Wireless headsets: Make sure your headset's USB dongle is plugged into the PS5 and the headset is powered on.

Press the PS button on your controller once. This will bring up the Control Center at the bottom of your screen.

Navigate to the Sound card. It has a speaker icon and is typically located in the middle of the Control Center.

Select the Sound card. This will open a sub-menu.

At the top of this menu, you will see a setting called "Output Device." Select it.

A list of available audio devices will appear. Select your headset from the list to switch the audio output from your TV to your headset.
