Greetings! Lenten Season is upon us. In this video I will teach you three more ways to create the Chapel Veils. Since the first Chapel Veil tutorial, I started Veiling to adoration and morning prayer. This year, with the encouragement of my online community, I decided I would veil at my first mass on Ash Wednesday. It was a nice experience and it felt very natural since I have been veiling to adoration. Thank you to everyone for requesting the tutorials and for allowing me the opportunity to research and learn more about veiling. Also a special thank you to my Sister-in-Christ Hang for modeling the veil. She had texted me that when she veils, she feels peace and was reminded that she was on sacred grounds. What I learned through my research on Veiling:
It was a common practice until the 60’s
it brings reverence to the Lord
-physical reminder of the True Presence
the veil is a tool (sacramental) used to humble & open our hearts to God
emulate the Virgin Mary who sets women apart as the blessed bearers of life
-Bride of the church
-clothed in dignity & modesty
