00:00 - Coming out of the subway at Willow toward the Armitage Brown Line station, past two Brown Line trains. Purple Line express trains won't start running to downtown for another hour.

00:52 - Passing the Wellington Brown Line Station, and the perpetually under-construction Illinois Masonic Hospital.

01:40 - Coming into the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple Line station.

02:13 - The Brown Line Flyover starts flying over the Red/Purple Line tracks, and the old Northbound Red/Purple tracks have been removed, leaving just the 124 year old track structure.

02:41 - Crossing Clark, which was blocked off for track structure demolition the day before (Sunday), and is reopened for Monday traffic.

02:54 - "If I get off at Sheridan, would you buy me a drink?" Nelson Algren, your Neon Wilderness still exists, on the last car of every CTA Red Line train, lol.

03:09 - On the right, the historic Vautravers Building, which was moved 30 feet west so that the tracks at that point could be straightened.

03:49 - Pulling into Addison. "Go, Cubbies!" But not till next April. Until then, the blocks around Wrigley Field are an entertainment venue unto themselves.

05:10 - Chicago's official theme song: El train wheels squealing around curves -- this one just east of the Sheridan station. They used to be much, much louder in years past.

05:29 - Chicago's other official theme song. And if you've had a heart attack and need to get to Thorek Memorial (two blocks east of here) or Illinois Masonic (a mile south) in an ambulance, that's a song you'll be grateful to hear. That and the beep-beep-beep of a heart monitor.

06:07 - A reprise of the "Sheridan El Curve" song.

06:27 - Apartments east and south of the tracks, Graceland Cemetery on the west.
