Security demands continue to grow and you need to be aware of all the tools and capabilities that Db2 provides you in this area. This session provides a review of the Db2 security landscape for those new to Db2 and to grizzled veterans. We will look at the various features and functions available across the four primary security domains: authentication ; authorization ; auditing ; and encryption. Along the way ; we will discover a couple of potential "gotchas" and some lesser known aspects of Db2 security.

Greg Stager is the security architect for Db2 LUW at the IBM Toronto Lab. Greg has been a member of the Db2 security development team since 2000, where he has worked on all aspects of security within Db2, including authentication, authorization, auditing and encryption.
