And while Nexus simply overhauled the Core formula, there are some games in the series that make some changes so large that they almost feel gimmicky. Armored Core 2: Another Age for example, was a 103 mission long expansion that completely removed the Arena for the sake of mission variety. But you know what they haven’t done? A game where they got rid of the missions and entirely focused on the Arena. That is… until now. This is Armored Core: Nine Breaker. A fully Arena focused AC game.
