The new EOS X-ray system uses significantly lower radiation in the diagnosis of scoliosis. Patients stand or sit inside the imaging system while it takes spine x-rays along two planes – looking from the back to front and from the side, simultaneously. With EOS, WVU Medicine physicians are able to get all of the high-quality 3D images they need without adult and pediatric patients having to undergo a CT scan.
