In November 2021, Goethe Pop Up Seattle's monthly film series presented in-person screenings of Alexandre Koberidze's WHAT DO WE SEE WHEN WE LOOK AT THE SKY? This pre-recorded Q&A with the director, moderated by Martin Schwartz, followed each live screening of the film.

In WHAT DO WE SEE WHEN WE LOOK AT THE SKY?, a chance encounter on a street corner has Lisa and Giorgi fall in love at first sight, but an evil spell is cast on them. Will they ever meet again? The film was a favorite at the Berlinale and the New York Film Festival.

The monthly film series GERMAN CINEMA NOW! is presented by Goethe Pop Up Seattle in partnership with Northwest Film Forum.
