Shantesha temple is in Satenahalli, Hirekurur taluk, Haveri district, Karnataka, India. Lord Hanuman here is known as Shantesha Swami. It is about 48 km from Shikaripura, 25 km from Byadagi railway station. Satenahalli is a small village. The idol of Shantesha Swami was established by Bramanya Theertha, Guru of Sri Vyasa Raja. A special Saligrama( black stone) is fixed on the head of the deity, so Lord Hanuman here is known as Shantesha. It is believed that Shantesha Swami is the avatar of Madhvacharya.
