Rahab was a Canaanite prostitute living in the walls of Jericho, a city marked for destruction. Yet she believed the reports she heard about the God of Israel. Rahab confessed:

“We have heard how the LORD dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to Sihon and Og, the two kings of the Amorites…” (Joshua 2:10)

Her faith went deeper than fear. She boldly declared:

“For the LORD your God, He is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath.” (Joshua 2:11)

Because she believed and acted, Scripture records:

“Joshua spared Rahab the prostitute, with her family and all who belonged to her.” (Joshua 6:25)

God didn’t just spare her life—He spared her family. And her story didn’t end there. Rahab was written into the lineage of Jesus Christ:
