In this au, the only thing that changes is that evan likes connor and not Zoe, connor is in a coma, not dead. All the musical would happen exactly the same, Evan would deceive the Murphy family of being friends with connor to be able to get closer to him and his family (very crazy, right?). Connor would wake up later, almost at the end. It is not a very elaborate au and I think it would be better understood if I drew the animatics
