#insta360 A brief intro to the Lost Villages Museum commemorating the loss of 13 separate centuries old villages along the St Lawrence river when the Seaway project inundation work was completed in 1958. The villages included: Aultsville, Dickensons Landing, Farrans Point, Iroquois, Maple Grove, Mille Roches, Morrisburg, Moulinette, Santa Cruz, Sheik Island, Wales, and Woodlands. Numerous buildings, including the "Tiny Train Station" from Moulinette, are located on site and open to the public from June-September.
Many of the townsites are viewable from kayak or canoe or by scuba diving. In the late season draw down many of the sites can be walked and waded.
