Composed by Brian Blume, these pieces are designed to serve as audition pieces for college-level programs or advanced high school levels, offering a platform for snare and tenor players to showcase their skills together. Short yet demanding, each composition challenges conventional wisdom with phrases over the barline, rhythmic space, and varying values, providing performers with opportunities for duple to triple changes and jaw-dropping metric modulation.
