Lashing-on as a method for attaching the warp to the front apron rod uses less warp than other methods and, when done correctly, helps maintain even tension across the width of the warp. THIS VIDEO WAS MADE FOR THE SHADOW BOX TOWELS WEAVE-ALONG, but the principle is the same for every warp.
