Apart from living in Montreux, Freddie also recorded six albums there with Queen, including “Made in Heaven”.

In memory of his presence, Freddie Mercury’s bronze statue has stood on the lakeside promenade since 1996.

Casino Barrière de Montreux is home to the legendary “Mountain Studios”.
In 2013, the venue was renovated to include an exhibition space entirely dedicated to Queen
Surprisingly, the exhibition is a FREE entry.

Apart from various memorabilia and hand-written lyrics, one of the most interesting parts of the exhibition is the 24-Track Swiss Made Recorder.

The control room has not been changed since the days when Queen worked here; except for the original Neve desk which was replaced by a reproduction one, allowing visitors to make a re-mix of some of Queen's classics.
