In honor of the 40th anniversary of ‪@rush‬ ’s classic 1984 album, I give you…

GRACE UNDER PRESSURE, performed front to back, by me, Tyler Warren :-)

It's been six years since the ‘Permanent Waves’ video... I figured it was time to go over-the-top again, celebrating the 40th anniversary, to the day, of another one of my favorite albums, ‘Grace Under Pressure’.

Everyone talks about '2112,' 'Permanent Waves,' and 'Moving Pictures'... but this album really struck me in high school. Dark, edgy (for them), and powerful, both musically and lyrically. I tried to be as faithful as I could with the performances and arrangements themselves (as with ‘Permanent Waves,’ why would I change something already so amazing?) while trying to make the original mix style a little wider, grittier, thicker, and trying to incorporate some alternate synth sounds and real instruments (piano, marimba, etc) cause let’s face it, I’d never be able to truly replicate those early 80s synth sounds without the actual gear!
(on that note: lucky for y'all... I don't know anyone with a lefty Steinberger bass I could borrow ;-) )
