Approximately 14 miles east-northeast of the city of Ketchikan, is an often forgotten about active volcano known as being known as Behm Canal-Rudyerd Bay. This volcanic field has produced a 1,000 foot tall tuff cone, a cinder cone, and a number of small volume lava flows. Although it has not presumably erupted in several thousand years, it has erupted at least once during the last 10,000 years. This video will discuss this little known volcano rated as "very low threat" by the U.S. Geological Survey.
