Date of the trip July 29, 2023

Today I decided to try another spot I had never been to. I spotted an area on Google Earth in the back part of Nueces Bay and took a chance. I was met with dead calm conditions and an incoming tide. I found some tailing redfish and a new marshy area to fish. Jellyfish were thick as were the stingrays. I managed to catch several redfish, all sightcasted. The wind picked up quite a bit on the way back and it was a slow pedal to the dock. I rescued a very waterlogged egret and took it to the Sealife Center on the island.
