The fire did NOT originate in the battery compartment. It started in the dry box located next to the battery compartment and then spread outward. The battery shows external burn damage only, while the internal components are not burned, and the charger was not damaged. The burned wiring and components shown in photos and video came from the dry box area—not the battery system.
