These dolphins were seen aggressively pouncing on a school of fish on the shore’s edge.

While out walking on Folly Beach in South Carolina, Ryan Kehoe watched the dolphins speedily approach the shoreline to strand feed on September 22nd.

Strand feeding is a unique and cooperative hunting behaviour where dolphins herd fish towards the shoreline, temporarily beaching themselves to grab the fish.

Despite several of the fish leaping into the air, the dolphins appeared to catch them in their mouths before retreating into the water.
