The literary festival celebrated every year by the Sahitya Akademi is being presented this time in its biggest form for the residents of Delhi and NCR. The six- day festival, this time, will see over 400 creators participating in over 40 different programs representing around 60 languages. The Literary Festival will begin with an exhibition of major activities of the Akademi throughout the year, which will be inaugurated by Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Hon'ble Minister of State for Culture. Sahitya Akademi Awards 2022 distribution ceremony, the main attraction of the literary festival, will begin on March 11 at 5.30 pm in the Kamani Auditorium. The chief guest of this function will be eminent English writer and scholar Upamanyu Chatterjee. The prestigious Samvatsar Lecture will be delivered by former Chief Justice of India Justice Dipak Misra. In other programmes, 7 author conferences, 15 composition- recitation programmes, 13 discussions, besides new programs like Nari Chetna, Asmita, Kathasandhi, meeting with the author and person and work have also been added. Special programs for children as well as cultural performances will be the highlights of the festival. In the press conference held on March 9 at 4 p.m.
