This is a hymn usually sang during the rite of Baptism as well as Ordinary Time. At times it may also be used at times for offertory as well as communion depending on the nature of the Mass or the ceremony as well as on the choice of the stanzas that maybe sang.

In the song, we are accepting that Our Lord Jesus Christ is our Master thus our King. "Ndavomera Inu Mbuye kuti mukhale Mfumu yanga...I have accepted you Lord to be my King/Master". The song is calling us to continually positively respond to the call of the Lord in our lives.

May our Baptismal promises always remind us about our acceptance of God to rule our lives. May the same promises remind us that it is not only by our human efforts that we are chosen by God but it is also out of 'His Grace'.
