How to Rig and Use a DOA CAL Shad (and Catch a Snook on First Cast)

Snook fishing is one of the most popular things for inshore anglers in Florida to target. In fact, we would like to argue that catching a monster snook is pretty tough to beat.

One of the most popular questions that we get here at Salt Strong is what is the best artificial lures to catch snook.

Although there are numerous lures we like, one of our favorite is the DOA CAL "Paddletail" Shad.

The DOA CAL Shad is one of those lures that seems to help us catch snook (and redfish/trout) pretty regularly, all seasons, and in most parts of Florida (on the flats)
