This is a build designed around using the Origin feat Alert in combination with a high initiative bonus to secure the first turn, then give it away to another character in the party. As such, this build naturally lends itself towards a support role, as building for damage would incline the character towards keeping that early turn. This character is also designed to play from range, and with the 2024 rules allowing Paladins to take Archery, we can execute the concept with this class. Note that you can still smite with thrown weapons! While designed for support, this character has decent damage when needed and can pack some hefty control as well with the right spells.
In order to get around the MADness of this character, I use the Tough origin feat via the Human species to balance a lower CON score.
