For everybody wondering, this thing has the most complex mechanic to cut the tail off.
Here's the order: Break the Crystal on the Head, Right & Left Claw, then deal enough damage to topple it down once it's down go ham on the tail.
But you think it's done after this? Oh no it's not because once you cut the tail off you need to kill Akura before he eats the tail, if it manages to eat it well you can say goodbye to your carve!
