Former Malaysian minister Syed Saddiq found guilty of graft, handed jail sentence

Former Malaysian youth and sports minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman has vacated his position as president of youth party Muda, after he was convicted of corruption.

The Kuala Lumpur High Court found the politician guilty of all four charges related to abetting criminal breach of trust, misappropriation of funds and money laundering. He will remain a member of parliament until all his appeals have been exhausted.
