The short version: Smokeless powder absorbs moisture from the air. This can change the weight of a charge a mere 1% but more importantly, it can change the velocity around 10% (200 ft/s)! Most serious competitive marksmen have started to address this with the use of two-way humidity packs. They work pretty well, but there are a lot of downsides to just throwing them into the jug.

- They can fall out when you pour powder, making a mess
- They usually end up at the bottom of the jug, covered with powder, preventing airflow
- It's difficult to find and swap them when they wear out
- They can sometimes leak, contaminating powder
- Those foam liners on powder jugs don't seal after they are opened

The CAP addresses all of these issues, and a few more, with a simple two-piece design.

The cage is keeps the humidity pack at the top of the jug, promoting airflow and making it easy to swap. It's made from flexible TPA material, with a thick flange at the top that acts like an o-ring, creating a tight seal.

The lid is made from super strong PA12, about 50% thicker than cheap injection molded parts, and has a wider control grip to make it easier to both open and close up tight.
