This week on Off Grid Atlantis, we experienced a mix of adrenaline, hard work, fear, and relief.

While staying at our rental, we were told by the mayor that we might not be allowed to stay in Portugal — a moment that left us scared and uncertain about everything we’re building. At the same time, an epic storm was hitting the coast, with huge waves crashing in and an incredible amount of raw energy in the air.

Between filming the powerful storm along the coast and putting in long days on the land — building walls, clearing ground, and making real progress on the homestead — emotions were running high. After some very tense days, we finally got clarity and discovered that we can stay.

This video shows the reality of off-grid life: physical work, wild nature, unexpected challenges, and the emotional highs and lows of creating a life from scratch.
