It's always good to have a backup plan when things don't go your way. This entire fishing session was a backup plan and it sort of worked out at the end. I'm beginning to learn which species are the common ones on Phuket and in the tide pools it seems that the ornate goby is one of the more common ones. I was pleasantly surprised though when I made a cast out into a few inches of water in what I would call a lagoon and came out with a highfin shrimpgoby (Cryptocentrus altipinna). Nice way to save the day.
