Ragnarok Origin - Damage Comparison : Premium Gears Face-off: Violet Vow vs. Devour Metis 💜🕊️

Today I am comparing the latest Violet Vow gears set from the last Sky City against the 1st Meowring Treasure event's Devour Metis gears set. The purpose of this test is to find out how better is the latest premium PvP gears set against the previous gears set.

Let's compare the gear attributes:
Violet Vow
1. Headwear: DMG+5.5%, Opponent DMG Bonus -15%
2. Facewear: DMG+5.5%, Stat+6, ASPD+6%, DMG Bonus+17.5%, PATK+100% of PDMG Bonus
3. Mouthwear: DMG+5.5%, DMG Red+12%, ATK+12%, grants a shield after casting assist skills
4. Backwear: Fashion DMG+4%, Fashion Resist+4%, Skill ATK+6%, DMG+8%, Skill DMG+20%, Skill DMG+8% after casting skills 6x
5. Costume: Fashion DMG+4.5%, Fashion Resist+4.5%, Ignore DEF+10%, DMG Red+6%, Skill DMG+8%, grants a shield after taking 9x skill damage

Devour Metis
1. Headwear (I used Oblivion / 2nd Meowring gear here): DMG+5.5%, CRIT+6, CRIT DMG+6%, DMG~10% depending on distance
2. Facewear: DMG+30%
3. Mouthwear: DMG+4.5%, DMG Red+24%
4. Backwear: DMG+36.5% when equipped with Metis costume, Global CD-4.5%, ASPD+4.5%, ATK+4%
5. Costume: ATK+6%, Ignore DEF+8%, Stat+6, DMG+48%, DMG+15% after casting burst skills

This time, the testing is different due to the Devour Metis mechanic which needs the Costume to be paired with other gears. Therefore I test each gears and compare the effect to my DMG one by one, and this run is repeated 3x to get the average results.

From the testing, these are the results:
1. Headwear: Oblivion (Meowring II) is the clear winner here with 12% DMG difference
2. Facewear: Metis is the winner with 18% DMG difference
3. Mouthwear: both Metis and Violet focus on survivability, therefore if we are only looking at the DMG, we can change to other gear, such as the Frozen Fish from Wishing Gacha, which we can get for free
4. Backwear: Violet Vow wins in this category, with 25% DMG increase
5. Costume: Since I am using the Metis facewear, Metis costume is better here with 12% DMG difference, due to the Metis pairing mechanic

Overall, the backwear is the clear choice in this gear set, while we can flexibly choose the Mouthwear based on what we need in PvP battles. At the 5:18 mark of this video, I compared the performance of both gear sets in Dimension Drill and at the 10:22 mark of this video I tested the new gears in Guild League. There is no obvious difference, but I felt Metis gear sets deal higher damage in general to defeat enemies faster. What do you think about this new gear set from Sky City?
