In this video I explain the main difference between water softeners and water conditioners because both are often confused but serve different purposes.

Water Softeners have been around for a long time and what they do is they take Minerals (calcium and magnesium, strontium chloride, Barium, Cadmium) out of the water and replace them with soft minerals like sodium or potassium, which is a simple ion exchange process.

Water Conditioners focus on removing chemicals like chlorine. The biggest positive of conditioners is that It pulls out chemicals like chlorine, that are bad to drink, shower in, or wash your vegetables with. Conditioners don't exchange minerals, they just realigns minerals so there’s no water waste.
