This is my fifth video , Sikkim Tour 2018. In this video, I will take you through the beauty of roads towards Gurudongmar Lake in North Sikkim and share our experience too.

There is a saying 'journey is more important than the destination'. It seems more appropriate when we started our journey for Gurudongmar. After enjoying our stay at kalapathar we set out for the lake Gurudongmar.

Lake Gurudongmar is situated at the altitude of 18,750 ft. It is considered to be a holy place to the locals. They attach spiritual and religious values to the place. Our excitement binds no limit when we started. We were at first apprehensive about the journey,about our physical capability.

We are awestruck by the beauty of the nature . It is breathtaking. Though the road is treacherous but it is compensated by the snow capped mountains that run along side the road. The landform has much similarity to the cold desert regions of the world. Military camps are located sporadically to help the travellers. One needs to be physically fit to reach there.
Finally when we reach there only one word can describe our feeling- it is divine. Heavy chilly winds make our stay more challenging. The experience is indescribable. It is the playground of clouds. We witness a heaven like experience. It is a soul searching journey.

It was seven days in length outing and I had secured Gangtok, Lachen, Kalapatthar , Gurudongmar Lake, Lachung, Zero Point , Yumthang Valley , Tsomgo Lake , Manju Lake and New Baba Mandir . I will cover all the specified places Part by part ...So dont miss any of the those ones...Stay tuned and updated.
