K1 (Fiancée)VISA PETITION APPROVED IN 6 MONTHS - with or without K2

K1 Visa Petition, which is always known as Fiancée Visa petition, takes a few months to process. In the USCIS guidelines, it is stated in there that the process takes about 3 months to 12 months before the petitioner gets the approval. Some petitioners are lucky to have the result in three (3) months, however, it doesn't happen to everyone. Like in our case, our Petition took 6 months before we got the final Notice of Action stating that our Petition was already approved. But that Notice doesn't mean that the petition is done and that you can bring your Fiancée to the US. No, not yet because there's still more to do after the first approval.
The next step is to pay the Visa fee in order to book an appointment to the US Embassy in Manila for interview. Together with the appointment is the schedule of the Medical Exam at St. Jude's Medical Clinic as well. The medical Exam comes first before you can proceed to the interview. If you fail in the medical exam, no interview will be done. In other words, you have to cancel your interview.
