The path of Karan Johar’s most talked about film, ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ has got a smooth way to release in Maharashtra. MNS who was protesting Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s appearance in the film and wanted a ban on its release has called off their protests.
Filmmaker Mukesh Bhatt, President of the Film and Television Producers Guild of India Ltd, has assured Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis that the body will not work with Pakistani artists in the future. Following this assurance, the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena led by Raj Thackeray has called off protests and will not now oppose the release of the film.
Mukesh Bhatt also added that Karan Johar has offered to pay tribute to the martyrs of the Uri terror attack by putting a slate before the movie begins acknowledging their sacrifice.
ADHM is slated to release on 28 October.
