In This Video 😊 - Gundala (2019) follows the life of Sancaka, a boy raised in poverty whose childhood is marked by tragedy and abandonment. His father, a factory worker, dies during a violent labor protest, and soon after, his mother leaves to find work and never returns. Forced to survive alone on the streets, Sancaka grows up believing that getting involved in others’ problems only brings pain.

As an adult in Jakarta, Sancaka works as a security guard and tries to live quietly, avoiding trouble. The city, however, is plagued by crime, corruption, and political unrest controlled by the ruthless crime boss Pengkor, who manipulates violence and chaos to gain power. When Sancaka steps in to defend his neighbor Wulan from local thugs, he is struck by lightning during a storm. Instead of dying, he discovers he has gained extraordinary abilities, including the power to channel electricity and rapid healing.

Reluctantly, Sancaka begins using his powers to protect innocent people from street violence. Encouraged by Wulan and inspired by his father’s ideals of justice, he embraces his role as a protector and becomes the masked vigilante Gundala.

Meanwhile, Pengkor plots a nationwide scheme to poison rice supplies with a chemical that will damage future generations, aiming to control the country through fear and social collapse. Gundala confronts Pengkor’s forces and prevents the distribution of the tainted food, saving countless lives. Having overcome his fear of involvement, Sancaka accepts his responsibility as a hero, while hints of greater threats suggest future battles ahead.
