Rescue operations underway at Uttarakhand resort as heavy rains lash state

Rescue operations by State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) were underway Sunday at Aranyam Resort in Mohan Chatti area of Uttarakhand's Pauri Garhwal district, where a family got trapped amid heavy rains in the state.

“The resort is very close to a hill and the water of the drain is also increasing continuously, due to which there is an estimate of the hill’s cracking. All connectivity has been broken, we are feeling extremely threatened,” a SDRF spokesperson said.
