1956 Chevrolet 3100 Resto Mod Pickup Truck

Why This Car Is Special

Early in the 50's the Chevrolet Task Force trucks were built as work trucks and they ran from late 1955 through 1959.
In 1956 they had a wider hood emblem, two-piece fender emblems that were mounted above horizontal fender line, and it was the last year for egg crate grille.

What we would like to show you at Skyway Classics is a restored and Resto modified version of a 1956 Chevrolet 3100 truck. It is a beauty and has been upgraded with many features like the LS engine and transmission, with the beautifully restored body painted in red, a new custom interior, aftermarket chrome wheels and performance red line tires.

Mechanical

It is powered by a LS performance small block engine with fuel injection, red painted intake cover and valve covers, performance red spark plug wires, chrome ram air setup, air conditioning, factory LS exhaust manifolds, aftermarket aluminum radiator, power steering and brakes, and looking great in a very clean, detailed, and painted engine compartment.

The custom and modified frame has had a lot of parts and effort put into it with coil-over shocks, 4-link suspension, H.D. rear end, Wilwood brake system, chrome dual exhaust, and the LS engine’s power goes to the automatic transmission as it rides on redline tires and aftermarket chrome wheels.

Interior

The complete custom interior has a black with red pipping bench seat with matching door panels, red factory dash with performance gauges, stereo radio, chrome tilt steering column and custom billet steering wheel, air conditioning, red seat belts, black carpeting and floor mats.

It looks and feels right in this vintage truck but also has the 21st century feel.

Exterior

Our 56 is painted in a deep and flashy red flowing over the 3100’s lines and this pickup represents the first of the pickups that were actually styled by designers rather than merely engineered.

As a result, they carry a lot of automotive-inspired design cues, so if you see a little bit of Shoebox Chevy in the design, the coincidence is purely intentional. The paint is in excellent condition and this truck gets a ton of attention anywhere you go. It took 6 gallons of PPG Victory Red and 5 gallons of Clear Coat to paint it!

Enhancing the upscale look is the chrome bumpers, restored grille, step-side bed, chrome mirrors, red painted inside bed rails, wood bed floor with slats trimming it, and the iconic rear tailgate with the Chevrolet logo on it.

When they built this 1956 Chevrolet 3100 show piece they clearly focused on making it right and they've definitely succeeded in a very big way. This truck is very, very nice!

Conclusion

This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Rest Mod pickup at Skyway Classics is truly a show truck and could win Best Of Show anywhere. Do not miss out on buying this truck by not coming here to see it!

This is a no-compromises truck built to very high standards with a cost of over $165k to build, and you'll be proud to call it your own.
