While the Great Geysir is less active, Strokkur is another geyser in the Geysir area that's highly active. It erupts regularly, shooting water up to 30 meters (98 feet) into the air approximately every 5-10 minutes. Strokkur's frequent eruptions make it a popular attraction for visitors.

Langjökull Glacier, often referred to simply as Langjökull, is one of the largest glaciers in Iceland. It is located in the southwestern part of the country, in the Highlands of Iceland. Langjökull is the second-largest glacier in Iceland, covering an area of approximately 953 square kilometers (368 square miles).

The name "Langjökull" translates to "Long Glacier" in Icelandic, which is fitting given its size and elongated shape. The glacier is situated to the northwest of the famous Þingvellir National Park and the Hengill volcanic area. It is also not far from the Hvítárvatn glacier lake.

One notable feature of Langjökull Glacier is its ice caves.
