#neetpg2024 exam centre Allocation issue : A crisis for Aspirants

The National Board of Examinations (NBE) has recently allocated exam centers for the upcoming NEET PG exams, and the process has been nothing short of chaotic.

Students are being assigned exam centers hundreds, sometimes even thousands of kilometers away from their homes. This has created a logistical nightmare, especially with the ongoing heavy rains in many states. Arranging last-minute transportation is nearly impossible for many.

The NBE had initially promised to conduct exams in multiple shifts to accommodate students in nearby centers. However, many students have reported that their fourth preference was given as their first, forcing them to travel far distances.

Students from Tamil Nadu, for example, are being allotted centers in interior Andhra Pradesh. With train tickets unavailable and flight tickets costing around ₹15,000 one way, the total expense including accommodation and food could reach ₹40,000. This is simply unacceptable.

Many students are questioning how the NBE's actions align with their promise to act in favor of students. The mental stress and financial burden imposed on students during such a crucial time is immense."

We urge the NBE to reconsider these allocations and take immediate action to resolve this crisis. Students should be focusing on their studies, not on travel logistics and financial worries.
