The Enforcement Directorate (ED) made an appearance at Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut's Mumbai home on Sunday after he failed to appear for questioning in a money-laundering case twice.
On Wednesday, the federal agency summoned Shiv Sena MP for questioning in connection with an alleged money-laundering case in Mumbai's suburbs. Raut had already been called by ED on July 20, but he excused himself due to Parliament's session.
Raut's counsel informed the central agency that he would be unable to appear until August 7 due to the current Parliamentary session. After their appeal was refused, a fresh summons for Raut's attendance on July 27 was issued.
