In the winter of 2023, Western Maryland 2-6-6-2 1309 was returned to its historic Chesapeake & Ohio lettering for a series of photo charters. It was still wearing this Chessie guise a few weeks later when it took the point on a weekend of "Winter Service" trains to Frostburg, and the tickets to ride were only $13.09, so naturally I made sure to swing by on my way home from the East Broad Top.
