Join me on a thrilling offroading adventure with the Punjab Offroaders Club at the picturesque Forest Hill Resort, just a stone’s throw away from PGI Chandigarh. This hidden gem, surrounded by nature's beauty, offered the perfect setting for an adrenaline-pumping day out with fellow offroading enthusiasts.

The event featured a wide array of vehicles, from rugged SUVs to highly modified jeeps, all ready to tackle the challenging terrain. Among them, the true showstopper was a retro Willys Jeep, meticulously restored to its original glory. Driving this iconic vehicle was nothing short of a surreal experience—there’s something magical about taking the wheel of a piece of automotive history and feeling its power and agility on rough trails. The Willys Jeep, with its timeless design and raw offroading capabilities, was a standout, drawing admiration from everyone present.

But the excitement didn’t stop there. We took the opportunity to compare the offroading prowess of some of the most renowned SUVs in the market. The Fortuner, with its robust build and reliable performance, the Endeavor (also known as the Everest), renowned for its balance of luxury and toughness, the Safari, with its legendary offroad reputation, the classic Pajero, still a force to be reckoned with, and the Scorpio, known for its ruggedness and versatility, all went head-to-head against the challenging terrain. Each vehicle had its strengths and weaknesses, and the comparisons offered valuable insights into their real-world capabilities.

Throughout the day, I captured stunning aerial footage with my DJI Avata 2 drone, showcasing the scenic beauty of Forest Hill Resort. The lush greenery, rolling hills, and serene water bodies, all so close to the bustling city of Chandigarh, made this location feel like a world away. The drone shots offer a unique perspective of the landscape, highlighting the contrast between the rugged trails and the peaceful surroundings.

This offroading experience was truly unforgettable, blending the thrill of exploration with the joy of discovering a beautiful, hidden location so near to a metro city like Chandigarh.
