Hey, everybody. Welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, and today we're taking a look at the PTC custom fit air cabin filter on our 2016 Nissan Rogue. Now the installation's gonna be pretty simple, we just have some internal assembly to take care of. So you're gonna wanna be on your passenger side of the Nissan Rogue. Let's get to it.

So here we are underneath the dash on the passenger side, as you can see. This is where our feet'ed be. Now in the back here, in the top left corner is actually where that filter is gonna hang, as you can kinda see the little, maybe a little hard from this angle, but there is just one little screw here that we're going to go to go ahead and remove. And then we have some pull tabs in the middle that will get out of the way to actually couldn't plate our install. So if we take a look here, we can see, we have this little screw first going ahead and start working that.

And once we have that screw we see that there's some pull tabs up in here, in the middle, we just want to get those pushed to the side and out of the way. Then we can go ahead and start pulling out the back of our filter. So you can see now that we got that door pulled off it just has a couple of tabs on the inside and where those screws actually sit. Now that we've gotten a good grip on it. We just simply want to pull that filter out and you kind of see it's just really wedged in there.

To kind of carry a particulate between our intake and our cabin. And be gentle and not to be leaving anything behind or breaking our filter too much. A little trick, just kind of work that bottom. And then you can kind of reach it's really hard to see from your guys' angle, but just kind of feel that filter get to the very top here. And just kind of start working the top working the bottom.

Just slowly working itself out. Not binding it anyway as we can and then removing it. So when we actually get this out, keep in mind the direction that you are pulling out, as you can see we have our air falling towards us today as we are point into our cab. So keep in mind just matching that air flow with that filter as you pull out. And as you can see, with our new flow, we're going to go ahead and have our arrows pointing towards us. So taking a look at our old filter, you can see we have a lot of debris that's actually inside of here. You can see a lot of dust filling in those gaps a lot of leaves and stuff actually getting pilled into that corner. So as you can see. This can be a pretty good option to actually clean this up. Remember, this is your intake to your cabin. So if you're starting to get a little bit of mildewy smell just a little dust, this is building up. Now this is natural. This is just from your outside coming to your air. However, it's always nice to get a nice clean filter. So we don't have any issues with our breathing as we are in our cabin. And to get this in again, we're just sliding right back into the housing that we we're in before. You just kind of have to start to get it started and then work its way in. When you actually get into here. I find it easy to get that top corner actually pressed up. And again, you kind of see them putting a little bit of pressure on my fingers upwards. It'll start working itself in and then we just start walking it, kind of how we did on the way out, going top bottom top bottom pressure on the sides. We'll start fitting itself in quite nicely. Now this can definitely feel a little tricky and you're going to have to kind of finagle with it a little bit. But at the bottom here if you kind of just run your hand underneath you actually feel where the filters gonna want to kind of go in. All the way to the sidewall of the left side of your passenger in here then you kind of just feel, it you'll feel the little lip. So when you actually get the bottom of the air filter you're gonna wanna like take it up and in it's definitely very descriptive. Sorry we don't have a great way of seeing it but just gonna feel it with your hand underneath here and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about to actually get this in yourself and to start I always start with the top left corner going into the top of the filtration system in here. Gonna get really easy to slide up and then start feeding that bottom half in. And then you can just start workin it in. The same way we worked it out. And when we replace our door you can see has this kind of just flipped edge right here. We're actually going to slide that down in the bottom of where we talked about before you can get to see it has this little track here. That's where our filter is actually sitting. So you can go ahead
