Tuning aftermarket headers on a Triumph Spitfire, or any car really.

Описание к видео Tuning aftermarket headers on a Triumph Spitfire, or any car really.

Aftermarket headers usually don't fit too well because of warpage that happens during welding. Here is my solution to get them to mate smoothly to the head. Hopefully it helps you too.

Oh, and when I last rebuilt my engine I apparently had the piston rings gapped too tightly. The specs are .012 - .022 and I gapped them at .012. Thought I was building a tight engine, but apparently it was too tight. Go figure. So I broke some piston rings after almost 5000 miles. This time I gapped them at a loose .018 to be safe. Engine fired right up and the headers are doing much better too.
